Hey my Flawsome lovelies,
Following on from my social media post the other week, I had some of you begging me for the recipe of my Hemp Nut Bread or Muffins Recipe, so I thought why not share it with you all in a post.
As you all know, I love hemp products and consume in some form everyday. I really do love this bread. It’s really easy to make and keeps really well.
It’s a firm favourite in my house and it’s also included in my Flawsome Recipe Book.
Full Recipe below:
Hemp Nut Bread/Muffins
Makes 6 servings (12 slices-2 per serving.)
¼ cup walnuts, ground in blender
¼ cup of hemp seed flour (I use Good Hemp)
¾ cup of ground flaxseed
Pinch of salt
¼ teaspoon of baking powder
¼ teaspoon of cream of tartar
2 eggs beaten
2 tablespoons of hemp seed oil (I use Good Hemp)
¼ cup cold water
2 tablespoons of honey
I like to sprinkle a couple of Tablespoon of Hemp Hearts on top before baking (I use Good Hemp)
Pre heat oven to 250, grind up walnuts in blender until they form a paste, in a bowl add the ground walnuts, flour, flaxseed, salt baking powder and cream of tartar, mix together, then add beaten eggs, oil, water and honey. Mix together well, if a bit wet add a bit more flour to thicken, should be a reasonably thick paste texture.
Line mini loaf tin with greaseproof paper, or use silicone muffin cases, pour in mixture and ensure in level. Sprinkle with Hemp Heart (if using).
Bake for 35 mins (for loaf) and about 20-25 minutes (for muffins) and allow to cool for 5 mins before transferring to cooling rack. Cut into loaf into slices, and can be frozen until needed. I store in zip lok bags in the freezer until I need.
